Jen Siraganian is an Armenian-American writer, educator, and former poet laureate of Los Gatos, California.
Her debut poetry collection, Everything Has Been Moved, Even the Dead, which won the 2026 Perugia Press Prize and was released this fall, was also a finalist for the Tupelo Press Dorset Prize, University of Wisconsin’s Brittingham and Felix Pollak Prize, Trio Press Trio Award, and Charles B. Wheeler Poetry Prize, as well as a semi-finalist for Persea Books' Lexi Rudnitsky First Book Prize, Philip Levine Prize for Poetry, and Vassar Miller Prize in Poetry.
Her poems have won the New Ohio Review Poetry Prize, The Writing Salon’s Jane Underwood Poetry Prize, and been nominated for a Pushcart Prize and Best of the Net Prize. Her work has appeared in AGNI, Best New Poets, The Cincinnati Review, Electric Literature, Poetry Daily, Prairie Schooner, The Rumpus, and the anthology Heaven Looks Like Us: Palestinian Poetry. She has received support from the Money for Women/Barbara Deming Memorial Fund, Community of Writers, and Napa Valley Writers’ Conference. A former managing director of Litquake: San Francisco’s Literary Festival, she is a Lucas Artist Fellow at the Montalvo Arts Center.
